City Reads invited Woody to curate an exhibition and host a drop-in workshop as part of their book club festival this May. 'Let there be pictures' invites Brighton to draw a family tree of characters from 'The Good Son' by Paul McVeigh - this year's City Reads' book of choice. PechaKucha Volume 22: Good Grub

This Sunday sees us at Silo in Brighton with Volume 22 of the regular PechaKucha nights in the city.  It's the third one produced and curated by Woody and editor of Viva Brighton, Alex Leith. The topic of the evening with be Good Grub with quick-fire talks on fodder.  From visual feasts to zero waste via foraging and fonts, there will also be specially created light bites from Silo founder Doulgas McMaster. 5 Colour Space Library 17

Colour Space On Show at Jubilee Library Brighton

This October, Woody designed a super-sized six metre colouring-in sheet. Colour Space, with its sci-fi edge, began in monochrome and invited colour, sketches and writing. Our Colour In Club then brought its cosmos of uncluttered graphics and coloured pencils to Jubilee Library in the heart of Brighton. Woody, also known as Zara Wood, creates, curates and educates.
A co-founder of The Enquiry Desk project and Brighton's PechaKucha producer for several years, she is an award-winning senior lecturer + part of the International Association of Illustration Academics forum.
