NOW: Creating Characters at Super+Super Update

To accompany her Creating Characters Workshop on Saturday 26th May at Brighton’s new creative hub Super + Super, Woody has been creating new characters during the Brighton Festival – 5th to 27th May.
Just over half way through the project, here’s some of those new faces…

A new character will continue to be introduced into the window exhibition every other day.

To celebrate one of Brighton’s most creative months, we want to support people wishing to buy and collect art. So, during May, these original pencil and ink sketches by Woody are available to purchase for £75 each. Buy latest sketches here

The Creating Characters Workshop hosted by Woody and Super + Super’s founder Miss Amy Phipps will take place on the last Saturday of the Brighton Festival.
A two-fold workshop that combines drawing and embroidery, along with techniques of coming-up with characters and tips on sourcing inspiration.
Firstly, spend time with Woody creating your very own character – pick up useful tips on sourcing inspiration, fully utilising your sketchbook and ‘getting into’ the creative process. Then work with both Amy & Woody on translating your character through hand embroidery onto fabric.
‘An excellent course – I learned so much and feel inspired to keep going.’
